iRunning 1.1.1 is rolling out on the App Store, and it’s built around one idea: your running story shouldn’t be scattered across old apps and abandoned watches.
Import your runs
Your running history, finally in one place:
- Straight from Apple Health. Every run you’ve ever recorded on your iPhone or Apple Watch — with any app — can now be pulled into iRunning in a couple of taps.
- GPX and FIT files. Coming from another platform or a Garmin? Export your files and bring them in. Routes, times, and heart rate come along for the ride.
- The full treatment. Imported runs aren’t second-class citizens. They get everything a native run gets: stats, splits, charts, and share cards.
If you’ve been running for years but only just found iRunning, this update means you don’t start from zero. Your streaks, your progress, your best months — they come with you.
Sharing, leveled up
The share screen grew from a feature into a playground. Version 1.1.1 adds 17 new templates, including:
- Transparent overlays that put your stats directly on your own photo — made for Instagram Stories. Your sunrise, your splits.
- Heart rate layouts: your route colored by heart-rate zone, a beat sparkline, zone bars, and zone splits.
- A clean route silhouette for the minimalists.
- A rep ladder for interval workouts — every rep, stacked and satisfying.
- A monospace “terminal log” card for runners who think in data.
The share screen is now fully localized too, so your cards speak your language.
Fixed
Two long-requested corrections around pauses:
- Pauses no longer skew your pace. Averages now reflect actual running time — coffee stops are officially free.
- GPX and FIT exports handle pauses correctly as well.
How to get it
Update to iRunning 1.1.1 on the App Store, then look for Import in your run history to bring your past runs home. And if you post a run with one of the new templates, we genuinely love seeing them.
Thanks for all the feedback that shaped this release — keep it coming.
